What is the automated process?

With your vet's permission, we will electronically connect to his or her computer system and download your pet's medical records into your MyPetsFile.com PHR at no additional charge!

How do I get my vet to grant permission to share my pet's data with MyPetsFile.com?

It's easy! To submit your request: log into your MyPetsFile.com PHR, open your Veterinarian Manager, then click the "Get Automated Data" button next to the applicable veterinarian. Next, an Electronic Pet Record Request form will generate in your browser. Please print, sign, and date the form, take it to your vet, and have your vet sign and date it as well. When completed, please fax or e-mail it back to us.

How long will it take for the automated data to appear in my account?

Once you obtain your vet's permission, it typically takes 2-4 weeks for the automated data to appear in your PHR.

What if my vet won't grant permission to MyPetsFile.com?

Sadly, while rare, this does happen. We are happy to help you maintain a MyPetsFile.com PHR, but you will not have access to automated data. Perhaps you could switch to a more tech-friendly vet?
