MyPetsFile.com Guardian Program

The MyPetsFile.com Guardian Program is an optional program available to all MyPetsFile.com customers. It combines the visibility of a standard pet ID tag with the power and reach of the Internet. Share treatment authorization, emergency and veterinary contact information, medical history and more, with anyone, no matter where your pet travels.

More accessible than the microchip and more thorough than a standard pet ID tag, any finder can ensure the pet's well being and quick return home. This is the perfect program for pets who go outside or have a tendency to wander off.  This Program also works well for those pet owners who travel, have multiple residences, or are college students who transport their pets between school and home.

Guardian Pet Tag

Guardian Pet Tags are available in multiple sizes in a round, heart, or bone shape. You may also choose from three materials: brass, stainless steel, or a variety of plastic colors. The front of the Guardian Pet Tag provides standard pet ID tag information. The back provides the pet's unique Guardian Code which, when entered into the MyPetsFile.com home page, provides the pet's finder with as much information as you wish to share on a read-only Guardian Viewer page.

Guardian Viewer

You may choose to share as much or as little information from your pet's Pet Health Record as you would like on your Guardian Viewer page, and you are the only person who can change this information. You may choose to display different information on different pets' Guardian Viewer pages. Anyone who views your Guardian Viewer page will not be allowed to edit any of your pet's information, or view any part of your pet's PHR that you have not specifically designated.

In addition to the information found in your pet's PHR, the Guardian Viewer has an online contact form, so someone who finds your pet can email you without you having to publicly divulge your email address. The Guardian Viewer also has an option for you to designate a maximum dollar amount (if any) of treatment you authorize on your pet, should someone find your pet in peril, and take your pet to a veterinarian. Guardian Pricing

The Guardian Program costs just $10 one time to enroll a pet, and includes one Guardian Pet Tag. Additional Guardian Pet Tags are available for $5 each.

How to Enroll

To get started, log into your pet's PHR, and simply click the "Guardian Management" tab at the top.
