Detailed Description |
We have an immediate need for an ASP.Net/VB Developer.Net Application Developer. The right candidate must be able to design original code, and modify existing code for a large e-commerce website with recurring subscription billing. The team size will be 2-5, and this person must be very self sufficient and comfortable working in hands off management environment. The Developer will report to either a Project Manager or the CIO directly.
Deadlines are tight, and the environment is very customer oriented and fast paced, so the ideal candidate must have experience in a similar environment.
Job Functions
- Write interactive browser based client server applications per design
- Develop and maintain project documentation (low level design, data base table element charts, data table relationship charts, etc)
- Develop any required SQL Server stored procedures
- Develop preliminary user interface
- Developing data extraction and migration utilities and routines
- Architect the application security
- Submit, track, and escalate, if needed, any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved
- Reproduce issues when necessary in order to assist with resolving software issues
- Interface with other members of Product Development in order to effectively communicate and resolve all reported issues in a timely manner before the product/service is released
- Provide detailed Completion Report at the end of each project
- Mentor/train other engineers as required
- Attend management review meetings
- Lead the Integration and System Test handoff meetings
- Introduce process improvement initiatives
- Proficient understanding of software development and test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle
- Assist other members of the Product Assurance Department on special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives as needed

Job Requirements |
- Knowledge of embedded systems
- Knowledge of Quality Control
- Knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardware
- 2+ years experience with Windows OS
- 2+ years of .Net experience - VB.NET, ASP.NET, C++.NET, C#.NET
- Multi user system
- Client server systems
- Application level security
- 2+ years experience developing in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
- 2+ years of SQL Server experience
- Developing properly normalized and efficient data structures
- Writing stored procedures
- SQL Server security procedures
- Extracting data to other formats such as XML
- 2+ years of Web Services experience
- 2+ years of XML experience
- 2+ years of HTML experience
- 2+ years of Ajax, Javascript, CSS experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Basic knowledge of the medical industry
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to provide input and potential solutions to the identified issues
- Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to work with limited supervision
