Information Technology

We have an immediate need for a Web Designer. The right candidate must be able to design original graphics, and modify existing graphics for a large e-commerce website with recurring subscription billing. The team size will be 2-5, and this person must be very self sufficient and comfortable working in hands off management environment. The Developer will report to either a Project Manager or the CIO directly.

You will be responsible for leading the visual design, implementation and management of websites for the Company and our clients. You will work as an integral member of the marketing/account teams to support our Internet advertising plans (PPC, display ads, email campaigns, etc) through innovative and effective use of web design and new technologies.

Deadlines are tight, and the environment is very customer oriented and fast paced, so the ideal candidate must have experience in a similar environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Creating innovative website designs that are consistent with and supportive of overallm arketing strategies
• Building search engine friendly websites that are easy to navigate and engaging to individuals,
• Designing sites using clean, efficient code and techniques consistent with industry best practices for usability, accessibility and SEO.
• Recommending improvements to websites that will increase SEO effectiveness.
• Ability to perform basic Web Master duties, including routine site maintenance and content updates
• Building, updating and posting to Company and client blogs and Social Networking sites
• Staying connected to the web design community and learning how to effectively leverage new trends and implement new technologies.
• Identifying and supervising outside design/programming resources,as necessary

• Must have graphic design experience
• 2-4 years experience in web design
• Strong experience designing with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash
• Strong experience designing web graphics and icons
• Working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, and CSS
• Familiar with designing HTML emails, display/banner ads, Flash
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues
• Experience with Flash, PHP, Javascript and web database solutions is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with SEO, Social Networking and WordPress Blogs
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Must be independent, self-motivated and able to manage priorities and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
